Hey Scotty,
I've recently bought a 6th gen. 1997 Honda Civic DX hatch (for $2500) with almost 190,000 miles and 4 cylinder D16y7 engine (rebuilt engine) as well as a four gear automatic transmission. Other than some slight slipping with the tranny between second and third gear, the thing runs like a dream... Other than changing the oil every 3500 miles, what else should I do to maintain the sweet quality of this car?
Thanks

Follow the maintenance manual. Make sure your timing belt and water pump has been changed or will be changed when due.
