I have this 1998 cavalier that I bought, and it ran and started fine while the weather was warm out. Now, I can only get the car to start if I put a heater on the floorboard under the dash for an hour or so and then it will start up fine. What could be the problem? I have replaced and reset the ignition switch, but this ambient temperature problem persists.

Well that heaters just going to warm up the computer system. I'm assuming you got some kind of flaw on the computer that's got to be heated up so it works
