1998 Honda Accord

I think I know the question to this:

I've recently had the timing belt replaced on my accord, but didn't have the seals replaced. Of course, a seal blew and is leaking a ton of oil. In order to fix it, the cost will be similar to getting the timing belt replaced again. Worth it or junk it?

What seal blew? How much will it cost to replace?

Balancing shaft seal. $500-$700

I would say that if the rest of the car is in good condition you're not going to be able to get anything else decent for that price unless you're extremely lucky. On the other hand if it's a worn-out, oil-burning rust bucket it's not worth it.

The car is in good shape, but I can't justify that kind of money after I just paid $700 a few months ago for the timing belt

Where is the seal located?
