1998 Honda Civic EX Idle Issue

Hi, I bought my 1998 Honda Civic EX used a year ago and it now has 180,000 miles on it. I am having a weird idle issue where when I start the car first thing in the morning when it's cold the idle can be anywhere from 1500 to 2000 RPM, which to me seems unusually high. But when it is warmed up it idles normally. When I try to drive it right after it has been started in the morning, the RPMs shoot up even higher than when it is sitting when I come to a stop and push the clutch in (sometimes up to 2100 RPM). Then when the car is warmed up the problem goes away but when I come to a stop the idle fluctuates and goes up and down a few times until it finally decides to stay at about 900 RPM. No check engine light. I've bled the coolant, replace the IACV, checked for vacuum leaks, and even disconnected the battery then reconnected it to reset the computer to reset the idle. Nothing has worked. Is it possible my head gasket might be going out? (no white smoke at the exhaust though) Please help!

Have you cleaned the MAF sensor?
