Hello, i have 2006 ford 2 door pickup disel truck, when park it idle fine with no problem, but when drive and i keep the gas paddle in certain speed (level) the car start to decrease and increase half RPM.
the engine may have some carbon but i don't know if that can cause such a problem.
The car start decreasing first and then come back to the normal RPM speed after couple of seconds. it repeat constantly unless i add fuel.
Welcome first time poster. Probably getting time for new injectors, high-pressure fuel pump, or both.
I would get a bottle of
"Hot Shot Secret Diesel Extreme" (one of the better diesel injector cleaning fuel additives) and run it through according to the directions. If it is getting better, then keep going with their "Every day" diesel treatment.
If that doesn't do it, you'll probably need to take to a diesel shop.
Good luck
sounds like he's getting air in the fuel lines.
check your return lines for leaks.
