Hello from England Scotty, love your channel.

May I ask a question about a problem I'm having with my car?

The problem is the car is fine till I turn on the headlights and then it dies/stalls. I don't have a code reader so it could be anything else but I thought I'd start with checking the easy things first. I've turned the car on without starting the engine and it's fine on side beams but turn on the main beam and the voltage diies.

I've checked the battery (it's just over 6 months old) and alternator which is charging fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated, many thanks.

Often that is a charging problem but if the alternator and battery really do test correctly it could be a wiring problem like a bad ground wire to the headlight system then it uses tons of power cuz the ground wire is pulling too much energy

I hope it's ok to post an update? If not then please delete this post.

I was about to do a parasitic leak test, started the engine, touched the brake pedal and the car stalled/died like it does when turning the headlights on. Apart from junking it - as it's in excellent condition and is low mileage - some help from you great people would be really appreciated
