Hello, 1999 4runner V6 automatic. Starts cold perfectly, but on warm start it cranks for a while and then has somewhat hard time starting then runs fine. Very rarely maybe once a month I press the gas and nothing happens, I have no power. So I pump it a few times and then rpms shoot way up and it takes off, I also have p0171 bank 1 lean code which I'm assuming could be connected since I have no vacuum leaks.
I've added different fuel injector cleaners to the gas tank a few times but I want to assume the complete loss of power thing would be something else. Any ideas? Thanks.
Start with cleaning the MAF sensor and throttle body. Also, pressure clean the injectors. Pray that these help and the lag in acceleration that you experience randomly, does not relate to the transmission.
Have you tried BG fuel system cleaner...Scotty likes it, uses it a lot.

It goes without saying that you have a new air filter, right? When was the last time you replaced your fuel filter? How many miles on it?
