{black}:blushed: Scottyiles per gallon or less.  Is this a good idea..and secondly..do these fuel saver devices that you plug into your cigarette lighter port or OBD port...do they work?  I know I've asked lots of questions..but I'm really short money and can't afford a new engine nor a better more economical car because my caddy is worth maybe $2000-$4000 in its so-called mint condition state...of which a Toyota to give me higher gas mileage would cost $5000 to $10,000...it'd also have a couple of hundred thousand miles more on the car's engine and overall.  So...I value any advice you can offer and thank you so very much for all of your wonderful and very informative videos.

Search the forum for fuel saving devices next time, please, ever since gas prices started going to the Moon, this has been asked at least a dozen times.

In short, no, they are practically all scams. You can improve your mileage by a significant amount of you change driving habits. I got 22.2 MPG on my last tank in my 1999 Ranger 4×4, I beat the highway rating, which is only 19 MPG. Truck has 280k miles on it! Drive slower on the highway and minimize braking wherever possible, without taking risks. Follow further behind cars, etc. I went from 65-75  on the highway to 55-60 and that by itself improved my mileage by around 5 MPG (was getting 16-17 MPG previously) which is an almost 30% increase.
