I’m currently looking at this truck. For some reason it won’t let me attach the link for it. Owner bought it in 2001, it has 235k mi original motor, transmission was rebuilt at 140k. The pictures I’ve seen truck looks fantastic. No rust or dings the paint isn’t faded at all. I will be looking at truck in person this weekend. He’s asking $11,000, to me that’s a little high. If all checks out ok and I purchase this truck this would be my first diesel. I know the legendary 7.3 can go and go and go some more but with 235k on the motor how much longer realistically can I get out of this motor before a rebuild is necessary? Also what flaws (if any) do these motors have? And just in general should I be asking or looking for things specifically for the 7.3? As always I appreciate all your help and advice.
