been watching your videos and I trust your opinion, about to buy a 2021 wrx sti new was curious if double clutching is still necessary in a car?
Also I know cars have synchros in them but I’ve heard so many different opinions (none professional like yours)
Not in decades I think, since the use of synchronizers.
I blip the accelerator downshifting my automatic though. Makes it smoother.
Yeah I figured you didn’t have to just wondering if it helps keep the longevity of the synchros by doing that? I can’t imagine it makes them last to much longer.
Yeah definitely do it with cvt transmissions because I noticed it jults a little if you don’t do it
CVTs? I thought they didn't shift because they didn't have discrete speeds
That fake shifting stuff that they got in Subarus where you have the paddle shifters and it simulates a gear shift lol
It's a handy skill to have if your hydraulic clutch line bursts.
