Hey scotty I have a 1999 ford expedition eddie bauer V8 5.4 I think it may be burning oil I bought it as a work truck I've been having to add oil to it I work 10minutes from my house so that's not the problem my question is how long can the engine last like that way before it gives up

Probably many years. But how much oil?

We don't know how long it might last. Make sure to keep on adding oil though don't run the engine with no oil.
