In my country where I'm from, many car dealers change the car mileage resetting the car computer with a machine I don't know the name of it in order to sell the vehicle at a higher price. How can I tell if a vehicle has gotten the mileage changed?
Another question, is the one of the new 6 speed manual transmission mq281 made by Volkswagen compatible with the skoda Octavia diesel cars from 99 to 2010 model years?

A high/dealer level scan tool will be able to read the real mileage saved on the ECU.
For your manual transmission query, unless a member here familiar with the specifics of the Octavia has experience with the swap, I’m afraid your best option will be the Skoda/VW dealer or Skoda specific forums such as briskoda.
