Hey Scotty don't know if this is where to reach out but I have a 2010 VW GTI that when first starts its turns and gets to almost 1k rpm then just dies and won't start unless I press the gas a while. Also seems like it wants to die when I first get it going unless I gas it, does it have to do with the direction injection? Issues seems to not happen when I'm using 90 octane No Ethanol, usually running 93 octane New block about 1700 miles ago with about 86k miles total. It shouldn't be carbon build up so you have any ideas? Thank you for all your daily videos!!
Coolant temp is good giving one code for fuel pressure
What is the actual code? Have you checked fuel pressure with a gauge? What do your fuel trims look like?
If you have low fuel pressure that would explain a lot. Most port injection systems operate at about 60 psi, though you would have to check the specs for your particular vehicle. You'll also want to check your air and fuel filters if they have not been changed in recent memory.
So in the car rn, I put a cold air intake in about 1 month ago I don't think k is has anything to do with the issue but could be wrong it is clean though. The actual code is P2293 Fuel pressure regulator performance
Thank you BTW for helping out!!
Have you scanned for codes and live data?
Yes Coolant temp is good giving one code for fuel pressure
usually running 93 octane
I think yours will run on 87
The actual code is P2293 Fuel pressure regulator performance
you need to fix that. It will definitely cause your stalling issues.
I think that's for the high pressure side needed for direct injection.
there's a bunch of videos on Youtube if you search the DTC.

It says on fuel cap 91 at least I'm sure it would run but not as good. That does make since I'm gonna have to check to see if that's the issue. The cold air intake isn't the issue, drove it to Dallas with factory intake and did the same thing. It's not doing it on 90 no Ethanol so I'm gonna check that high pressure side
