I have a 2000 buick park avenue ultra with 138k. I purchased it from my girlfriend's grandfather a few years ago. It has serious frame rot and was quoted 2k to repair the frame damage. The engine still runs strong. It had been sitting for a couple months and it started right up yesterday. It does need brakes all around and it needs back shocks. It may need other things, but the shop stopped looking after the frame damage was discovered. Would it be worth it invest about 5k or should I just sell it?

Not worth sinking that kind of money into a 22-year-old Buick. Part it out or scrap it.
