found puncture in tailpipe Could I just get the muffler tape and put on it. my dad would cut a can in half and wire it on. It worked but that was along time ago.

no rust a puncture bout an 1inch by 1/4 maybe, i dont have exhaust smell now
Carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless.
You sure feel it though, had c.o. poisoning pretty bad a couple times.
It was kinda like being drunk & constantly struggling for oxygen. I did smell it however as I was in the back of a bronco style ram & the rear glass was missing, all the exhaust was being forced in that opening on the highway & that stinker was running rich.
Even with my 99 F150 I knew it was coming once my exhaust was hacked & my windows were stuck. Tried making a quick blast to go look at a new truck about 20mins away, that was a mistake!😄
Go to a muffler shop and either get a patch welded in place or replace the rotted section.
