My father had left his old car on our lot that is made of grass, and the car previously was well maintained, but now has been sitting on grass for 3 years now. I was wondering if you think it would be safe enough and good enough to drive again if I get it running. Just need some input if you have any experience on a situation like this.
Sitting is the worst thing that can happen to a car.
You'll want to drain and replace all the fluids, put new tires on it, and that's just for starters. Once you get it running, I would get a mechanic to check it out and scan it to see what the system looks like. No real way to tell if it is worth fixing until you get at least that far, so just depends how much time, effort, and money it is worth to you.
