Truck odometer reads 230K, this is my dads truck I got it after he passed away...he burned up the original engine and got a junkyard engine put in so not sure how many miles were on it.
It had a lifter tick(dad was notorious for not changing oil regulary), really loud when cold and would go away when engine warmed up...I bought the lifters/pushrods and gasket kit, and I ordered the Camshaft Position Sensor (read that it's the #1 killer of 75K+ 3.0L V6 engines, worn bushings and if it stops spinning the oil pump does too), replaced everything and used the tool to ensure the Camshaft Position Sensor went back in EXACTLY as the old one came out (turned motor over to 1st cylinder TDC to be 100% certain)
Battery was removed for about a week till I completed the fix (so I know the computer definitely was reset)
Now the engine will turn over just fine, crank like a boss but no spark, pulled sparkplug 1 to verify and get no spark
check voltage in to the coil pack...and it has 12vdc
I have is a non PATS key (no push buttons and I don't know if it has the chip in it or not), I did the alarm off thing with the on/off x8 in under 30 seconds and get the horn beep. Do you think it will be the PATS system keeping the truck from getting ignition? And do I have to go to the stealership to get a new key programmed?
When I turn over the engine the theft light on the dash is out, but the check engine light stays lit solid while cranking
Any help would be great...thanks

I would assume the anti-theft system is shutting off ignition power that's what they do. I would check that first but of course make sure you don't have any blown fuses or wires that got disconnected
Correction...it was the Cam Synchronizer
Checking YT if I put it in incorrectly...
