Bought new rebuilt tranny at 100K etc. Now has p1456 code. Replaced gas cap. Reset code came back. Now what?

Are you sure? Is it not P145C - EVAP system purge malfunction? If no other code is recorded, … troubleshoot for P0496 and P0497.

Gas caps go bad try the simple things first and change it out there only a few bucks.. if that doesn't work your Evap system has a leak in it or is going out and you'll need to have someone check it for you
