Should I buy a 2000 Lexus ES300

Hi Scotty , I was wondering if you would recommend a 2000 Lexus ES300 with 167,000 miles on it for $3,200, there doesn’t appear to be any rust and I was wondering if they were expensive to maintain because it says Lexus and not Toyota. Thank you!

That is basically the Lexus version of the Camry. Those can last forever. While it may have a timing belt it also has a non-interference engine.

It can be an Ok car but considering the age, you may have to spend some money on different parts (especially the rubber and plastic ones) and they are not cheap. Also keep in mind that these have timing belt and changing it would be expensive.
