Scotty,  I use my camper van at RV campgrounds often but I would like to use the hvac system fan motor to ventilate as I sleep in it.  When camping I attach a 15amp automatic battery charger to the battery so I can use the 12v outlets in the cabin. Will I damage the electrical system if I leave the key in the ON position but not running overnight so I can use the hvac fan for ventilation?  The fan will only run if it’s in the ON position or actually engine running. I don’t want to run the engine just the fan for ventilation in the fresh air mode. The battery charger will keep the battery at full charge in this configuration. Thank You!!  Please keep up the amazing work you do for millions of us watching everyday!!  Thanks again!  John P.

no, I don't think it will harm your car. It'll probably wear out the charger though. Why not just skip the charger, and plug in a small 120V oscillating fan and position it wherever you like?

Thanks Mountain man! I have a fan that does just that. My thought was this could be a way to add fresh air to the cabin. Going to try it

hm, you have a good point there. They also make window fans.
