Hey Scotty, I have a 2000 Hilux Surf/4runner and recently after giving it to my mechanic to change 2 of my back seals because they where leaking gear oil on to the rims from the differential.  I recently picked up my vehicle now when I turn the steering wheel to make a left or right turn or reversing either direction at  low speeds I hear a clunking noise coming from the front end like metal is hitting against metal and sometimes you can hear the tyres scratching and steering wheel getting stiff  and have to give the suv a bit more power  to turn and climb on to my driveway. Before handing it over I had the engine and undercarriage washed and I drove it to the shop with no issues. As result I'm asking what could have caused the noise. Your response would be greatly appreciated man, love from Jamaica.
