Hi, I am trying to take out my rear A/C unit and was wondering if I have no refrigerant in the lines after taking it out would it eat up my compressor on the engine. The rear and front A/C are connected and I was just gonna live without the A/C.

I think you can get bypass kits for deleting the rear unit but keeping the front.
I you get rid of AC altogether then remove the compressor and get a shorter belt
