I have a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback EX with the 1.5L turbo. It has 28500 miles. I noticed the manual states that to change the CVT fluid every 27,000 miles if driving in heavy conditions. Should I get a CVT fluid changed or wait until the car tells me to?

Go ahead and change it now, using the OEM Honda CVT fluid (should be HCF-2, but verify with your owner’s manual).
If able, change the transmission filter too -
