I need a more reliable work truck and these trucks seem to be decent deals. Both are private parties selling them. I have a mechanic who I can take them to and get them looked at, but I figured getting some online input is resourceful.
2001 Chevy Silverado for $6.5k. The ad doesn't say what type of engine it has, presumably it's the 5.3. Automatic transmission. It's 4x4, and only has 99,187 miles (Ad included odometer picture). He says the oil has been religiously changed every 5k miles.
1995 Ford F250 for $6k. 7.3 diesel engine, automatic transmission, 175,000 miles, 2wd.
Should I skim both of them, or which should I buy?
I am thinking the Ford would be the better truck.
neither. they are insanely overpriced.
And something that old won't be a reliable daily.
