Hi Scotty, I’ve found a well priced corolla allex 2001 with 256,000 ks on the clock. My query is just how bad is the oil burning on these cars? Could I live with it and just top it up? It’s very tidy and I do like that shape. Cheers.

Did a mechanic check it? Did he find any other problem?
Do not be fooled if it looks tidy.
When I was selling the car last year, I did not extra clean it so buyers could see the actual shape of it.

Cheers, I’m about to test drive today and will then get a mechanic to inspect it. Hopefully all good news, but I understand this modeL has a poor design of engine leading to oil burning !
If it does not bother you, you can live with that and buy some extra oil and monitor its level.
