  1. I have a 2001 Ford Explorer XLT with codes P0172 (system too rich bank 1) and code P1131 (Lack of HO2S11 switch sensor indicates lean. Any ideas of causes or fixes? Curious how one sensor can throw a code for too rich and then too lean. Please help! And thanks in advance!

I should also say about two months ago, while at a stoplight, it stalled on me. Going up hills I have little to no acceleration/power and occasionally the same experience on flatter surfaces. RPM’s after it warms up are around 200 and idles rough. When I come to a stoplight/sign, RPM’s drop to barely above the “0” line and rough idle. In the two months since this has started, I have replaced the idle air control valve/motor, MAF, EGR and fuel filter. In the past three years the plugs (and wires), fuel pump, intake manifold gaskets, and PCV valve have all been replaced. Has 182,000 miles on it.
