Hey Scotty, and everyone else on here, I've got an 2001 Ford Explorer XLS with the 4.0l V6, 4WD, and on the 5th of May, I noticed that the check engine light was on and when I scanned it using my BlueDriver OB2 scanner, it had the codes P0171, and P0174, I took a screenshot of it so I could write it down for later, which I did, and then I erased the codes and the check engine light hasn't come back on since I erased the codes. Weird huh.
My Explorer currently has roughly 212,500 miles on it and either the top end or the bottom end of the engine was rebuilt before it was purchased from the previous owner but I can't remember which one it was.
My question is, as a Pizza delivery driver should I use brake rotors from a discount auto parts store, or should I get some heavy duty brake rotors and if so do you have a brand that you'd recommend I get?
I'll be using Akebono brake pads for sure since I used them on my previous vehicle and I loved em. My Explorers brakes sound like a school buses brakes when it comes to a stop.
Thanks Scotty for all your awesome videos (I've been watching your YouTube videos for years) I hope you keep these videos coming for years to come and many more.
For rotors, I'd probably just go OEM honestly.
Thanks Mod_Man. I'll do that. BTW I love you Mustang.
Thanks!
