I have a 2011 Toyota Yaris with 104,000 miles on it and I've been thinking about changing the transmission fluid. I'm sure it's never been changed before and I want to make sure it lasts as long as possible. Is it too late to change it or should I go ahead? I have absolutely no problems with the transmission as it is right now, I just wanted todo preventative maintenance.
I would go ahead and do a drain and fill on it.
I have a 2012 Lexus IS250 with 119k miles. I recently just bought it from someone and have all the records from the dealer since new to 90k. The transmission fluid hasn't been done according to the records. Last owner did his own maintenance and did not mention anything about changing the transmission fluid. Should I go ahead and do that? I know flushing isn't good at high mileage but I don't think 119k is considered too high.
of course you should change it. It's part of regular maintenance.
