Hey Scotty, I recently bought a 2001 Ford ranger. Being a mechanic myself I knew it needed some tlc. I changed plugs, wires, coils, tps, and O2 sensors. Cleaned maf, throttle body, and replaced all vacuum hoses. In 3rd gear it still does the slight buck under light throttle. In 4th gear it does it until you reach 45. I am stumped I have checked all the parts I put on and they checked good. I’m stumped please help. If you would like to call me I live in Tennessee and could bring it to you! Number is 423-681-0331
@Fordguy82 please do not include personal information like phone number. Thank you.

You didn't say it's throwing any codes so I assume it isn't.
Even though it's 20 years old, it's a Ford so you may be able to look at the cylinder misfire counter data (Mode $06 ) and see if you can identify a particular cylinder acting up while you're in 3rd gear and <45 mph in 4th gear.
I have a 2001 Ranger 3.0L V6. 190,000 miles. I bought it used in 2009. ($3,500 w/98,000 miles) With minimal maintenance it's been a great little truck.
I have a snap on ethos pro. I don’t have any codes popping up. So I’m beginning to wonder if it is something minor.
