Topic starter
Hi Scotty
2001 jeep grand cheokee loredo 4.0 engine 221885 miles. The cranking upon start is slightly slower, than on my other two 2004 models , same engine. I replaced the battery. Same result. Battery voltage is 12.6. It does start but it sounds different lately. I was wondering if the starter could be drawing too many amps and how to check it ? Thanks Jack

Could it be the starter?

This little gadget is on Scotty's tool page and available on Amazon. The cranking test (at 1:20) checks the starter.
