I just bought a 2001 Honda Civic with 140k miles automatic. It as sitting in the owners driveway for a while so I had to replace the battery. When I was driving on the highway, it randomly got a check engine light P0740 - torque converter clutch circuit/open. I was told that the engine was replaced, but I believe this is the original transmission. Other than that its a great car that starts up right away and shifts pretty smoothly, no jerking but it may take a second to shift gears once the RPM's go up.
Thanks for any/all advice!

Clear the code see if it comes back immediately or takes awhile. Thinks can stick after sitting but eventually free up.
