Toyota bZ4X Concept

What do you guys think of the Toyota bZ4X? It looks like a new redesigned RAV4 in its 6th generation model years. I hope this will be a good rivalry against Tesla with reliability and perfections over time.

Anyone want to spend any time here to answer?

If it is priced in the base RAV4 range with better features, AWD, long range similar to the Model Y, I'm game.

If it is priced equal to the Model Y, or has substandard features, I'd just get a Model Y.

It can't be a premium product.  It has to be something the everyday person can manage to get their hands on.  Like the Gen 2 Prius.

I guess the Model Y is known to have a lot of storage compared to its compact SUV rivals.

Totally. It looks like Toyota still uses the engine bay for the engine. But Tesla uses most of it for storage.

@kaizen I think that's because Toyota never uses a skateboard platform. So they want to use the chassis they've been using for many years.

Concept be concept. It took like 10 years for the new supra to come to life and that if anything was lucky. Many concepts don't leave the design floor. If toyota were to keep costs down while being fully EV it would be interesting to see. It was also only recently for toyota to want battery cars nah? They been so focused on hydrogen weren't they? Also I wouldn't knock it down for space just yet. The model S actually has more storage than the Model Y in teslas, see Rich Rebuilds for full details. Lol

That would be true. The price of the Tesla Model S is not comparable to the RAV4 prices. It's more of a Toyota Avalon to me in terms of price.
