I  have a 2001 Honda CR-V 4wd 140,000 miles. My car makes clicking noises when I turn the wheel at low speeds. It only makes the noise when I turn left not right. What could be the issue?

I also see in your history you had put in some defective axle shafts that make your car shake. Did you finally put in some good quality ones?

So I left it off actually I haven’t yet put one on.

Right , you might've mentioned that.
It... didn't occur to you the defective axles that make your car shake might make the clicking noise too?

I replaced both axles I was thinking maybe the rack and pinion Ujoint ?

I first replaced the cv axles because a mechanic said that the cv axles were bad and making the car shake. The car still shook after replacing the cv axles so then I thought the drive shaft might be bad, I then grabbed the drive shaft and there was a lot of play. I took the drive shaft to get repaired and was told it was beyond repair. I have the drive shaft off right now but there is still a slight shake around 20 mph.

I believe the clicking was there before the new cv axles

You could try:

  • rotating your wheels to see if the sound moves.
  • check the wheel bearings

I have a 01 Honda CR-V automatic with 144,444 miles on it and when I turn the steering wheel I hear clicking noises. I only hear it turning left not right and a slight shaking at 22mph. I changed the cv axles, inner and outer tie rods, all ball joints with upper control arms and new strut assembly. What could make this noise and vibration?

Sway bar links were changed as well along with tires

OK you already posted this question today. (Please review the rules in the 'Welcome' topic).
Please be patient. It may take a little while to get an answer. We only do this in our spare time.
Thank you.

I edited the post because I left out that it was an automatic

Iam in no rush whatsoever.

You didn't edit though. You made a whole new one. All you have to do is add a comment to the existing post.

I thought I clicked edit on the post but I guess I made a new one.

Right. The two actions are nearly indistinguishable. 🙄

I suggest you buy one of those listening tools that Scotty has (see video) to locate exactly where the noise is coming from, take it to your mechanic and let him know what you found.
