Hey Scotty, I have a 2001 Honda CRV with 180,000km on it. Occasionally when I put it in reverse from either Park or in Drive, the RPMs dip and sometimes dip enough to stall the engine. Doesn’t happen when I put it in drive from park.
I installed brand new spark plugs and air filter. I also cleaned the idle airflow valve.
What else should I be looking for to help prevent the RPMs from dipping in this situation?
Thanks!

You need to get it scanned for codes and go from there. In the last 21 years, how often have you changed the transmission filter and fluid?

Yes. Have it scanned for codes.
Distributor cap and rotor. Clean the throttle body thoroughly.
