Hey Scotty, I bought the CGSULIT Scan tool like you suggested and its awesome.
My 1997 Ranger threw a check engine light with a P0402 code. Exhaust gas recirculation flow excessive.
What would you start with?

The EGR valve is probably carboned up and stuck open. Replace it after checking all vacuum hose connections.
