Big fan Scotty, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with the community.

I recently got rid of a 7 Frame patched rust bucket 2005 4Runner from Cleveland salt rust belt

And now have a 2002 4Runner 175k NO RUST ON FRAME OR BODY

I replaced ripped cv axels and lower ball joints and fan clutch last weekend and I did radiator, coolant flush, transmission bypass radiator and thermostat the weekend before.

I plan on doing fuel filter and spark plugs next weekend lol

I also plan on doing upper control arms soon

Other than water pump/timing belt/ valve cover gasket what else would you recommend? I want this thing to run a million miles lol

thanks

Well you're doing most of it. I'd also flush out the cooling system and power steering system and check all the rubber hoses and belts and everything

I would also do the Engine air filter, clean the throttle body, maf, and change the spark plug wires. I always liked the NGK, they also come in a nice looking blue.

I would suggest Denso plugs if you are not already planning to use them. They always did great for me on my 98 4Runner.

Although NGK were also OEM for those 4Runners, some even came out of the factory with 3 of each.
