2002 Accord, V6, Auto, 90K miles - P1607 CEL after cold night - car in limp mode
This has happened a many times. After a cold night say down to around 20 F or so, the car starts up fine in the morning but the CEL comes on (P1607) and the car is in limp mode.....very slow to rev and wont' rev over 3K rpms. After it warms up and then I shut the car off and re-start and it's fine and the CEL goes off a few days later. (Or I reset it) Doesn’t happen if the temp is above 25ish.
Use batt tester to test batt and it does start-up batt test (does this check Alt?) All OK.
Replace ECM with used ECM – Still happens.
I see this same report on a Honda web sight - but no answer. Just try replaceing ECM. If it doesn't work check batt and alt.
Has anyone see a fix for this?
Thanks.
Hi - Thanks but this was already done and the same issue. The limp mode only happens when it's below 25F degrease. The after the car warms up say 5-10 min it stops limp mode and the then crears code after a while. or after limp mode stops you can rest it and it's fine.
Or did I miss something in the video?
Thanks
