I checked the oil in my Camry and the bolt by the dip stick was so loose it was ready to fall out. I think the bolt keeps the top on the engine??? I finger tightened it. I’m a widow so no clue.
I think it is time for another car. Had steering?replaced just under $1,000. It has 80,000 miles and been run into two different times once each side front door. Looks good still and inside like new but isn’t driving like it used to.
The dealership here has two certificated grey 2019 Camrys, 31,000 and 39,000 miles and one 2015, 57,000 miles white. Not much choice here but want my mechanic to check out before I buy.
Or do I look for a used Honda. Accord, Civic?
Or since I’m a widow alone do I buy a new car. I don’t like to think of wasting money but I want a reliable car so I can go places.
I have watched a lot of your videos. Thank you so much for all of your information and help.
Blonde but not stupid!
Take the car to a mechanic. A good one will not charge you to tighten down a bolt. It should take him 2 minutes to do it.
At 80,000 mi, the car should still have a lot of life left in it, if it's maintained regularly. What do you mean by "isn’t driving like it used to"? Most likely it's something that is easily fixed.
The drive has always been very smooth and now it is rough and noisier than before. It could be that the roads seem to be in worse shape here.
Why did the bolt get so loose?
There are 2 other holes right of that one doesn’t have any bolts at all in the holes.
Thank you for getting back to me.
vibration, usually. Not all holes will have bolts in them. Maybe if you post a photo, a fellow Camry owner can help out.
