My mustang ran hot about 2 years ago while sitting in the yard. Water shoots back out the radiator jug. Took out the thermostat but same result. Is it possible the radiator is bad or just a blown head gasket.

Well if water is leaking out the radiator, there is probably a crack somewhere inside. Before you go buy a new radiator, I would first check the head gasket with a block leak test - like the one Scotty uses in his video. It's better to try that first for $30 instead of buying new radiator for $150 and then realizing the head gasket is also blown.
