But question is? Is it good reliable car overall? Besides the starter flaw Toyota v8s. Would be my 2nd car it would be on the road alot so just want to make sure if I'm making a good choice....

You said it needs some body work, so try to get it pretty cheap. Those are fantastic engines in the LS, but it is old so have a trusted mechanic check out the car thoroughly before you buy. If you can get it cheap enough and it checks out okay mechanically, it can be a very good car - just realize it's probably going to need some TLC.

Those were very reliable cars. As a second car it is an excellent choice.

@ad99 thank you man. But what other flaws would I come across? I think the value cover gasket is leaking

I would say just common things that come up with an older car - miscellaneous rubber bushings/gaskets are probably worn out, timing belt may need to be replaced, if the struts are still the original ones then those might be worn out, the spark plugs may need to be changed out, and so on. The engine and transmission on those cars are solid, so there's nothing big that you have to worry about. It's just the smaller things may add up since it's 24 years old - these are not reasons you shouldn't buy the car, but rather just stuff to be aware of that you may need to address.

Yes sir. Thank you so much for the info!
