2002 Ford Ranger XLT
Why am I not able to scan for codes on my Ranger? I have put it through the recommended the drive cycle and still not able to scan.

The drive cycle has nothing to do with the ability so scan for codes. If your scan tool cannot communicate with the vehicle's computer system you'll need to trace out the wiring to find the fault. Pay particular attention to grounds.
