I I have a 2002 Honda Civic and I'm trying to figure out the best head gasket sealant
There are none. Get the head gasket replaced.
That's not what's in Scotty's videos
Then why are you here asking?
& every time he uses it he says something along the lines of "who knows, maybe it'll work". If youre using head gasket sealant youre on borrowed time. Those sealants can clog up all different coolant ports, including your radiator. If you want the car to last for another 5+ years, do the headgasket. If youre about to junk the car and figure youll give it one last shot, look for one with sodium silicate(i think thats what its called), its basically liquid glass. Follow the instructions EXACTLY. Also keep in mind that sealant can only work with certain types of headgasket failures. I say do the headgasket, its probably not much on that car.
@nta98:
Could you please post your answer in the "answer box"?
Thanks in advance.
Scotty answered a very similar question earlier today.
Spend your money on some head gasket sealant, go drive the car and blow it up anyway. It's your car and your money.
Bars is probably the best, but realize it is not a permanent solution. You really need to change the head gasket.
A band aid fix, but worth a shot depending on how much longer you need it to survive.
Best to change out the head gasket if it is not too cost prohibitive to do so.
