Scotty I have a 2002 Honda Civic it idles around 400 to 500 RPM what can I do to increase the RPMs at idle cuz it seems to be causing me issues the car is not warming up like it should and I think it's putting a strain on the alternator and the battery by the way I love the Channel watch you all the time
It has a new battery and new alternator
Load test your battery and alternator output. It may not be putting out enough current to run the electrical systems.
I have put a new battery and alternator in it
Then let's look at some basics; air filter, pcv valve, MAF sensor, clean throttle body, spark plugs, egr valve if it has one, etc.
I have put a new air filter changed the spark plugs
Keep going.
What do you mean keep going
Continue with the tuneup.. Watch Scotty’s video which another member posted in this thread.
