hi. the battery light on my 2002 miata recently turned on and the temperature was very high. looking on the internet and I have two possible answers: either the alternator belt needs to be tightened/ replaced, or the coolant needs to be topped off/replaced. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If this has an electric fan then the alternator or connections are definitely the issue.
