my wiper does not pump water to my windshield. The wipers are fine. Is it the pump? How do I change the pump if it is?
You mean the windshield wiper reservoir pump right? That pump should be located near the tank where the wiper fluid goes. If you can hear it trying to pump, you got a clog or buildup in the system somewhere. Then you clean in out instead of changing a part. If it is the pump for sure we'll you are gonna have to drain the system anyway and probably best to rinse it out. It should be pretty straight forward how to remove the reservoir in order to get to the pump with common hand tools and maybe a couple sockets.
Thank you. I’m not very good at fixing. Is there a link anywhere walking me through this?
You can try looking on YouTube if someone has done that. There might also be a step by step on the Mustang Forum assuming someone else has encountered this. Try those first (they are free but take time). Otherwise, if you didn’t want to mess around you can create an account at ALLDATAdiy and buy a one year subscription ($29.99) for your car. It’s essentially an online service/repair manual. Scotty has in the past recommended this for DIYers, and I’ved used it already, so can vouch for it.
