Hello Scotty,

Kinda new here started watching your videos all day at work.

I have a Toyota avensis hatchback  06 or 07 diesel 187 000 and since it's cold in EU the engine started diyng right after start. Then the neutral gear is spotty (changing rpms) after the engine is warned up. They power of the car is good and there are no other problems.

In order to start when it's cold and she is cold I need to keep the key turned up sometimes for 9 seconds. After it starts and the engine is running when it starts to get some heat the problem diapers. Me and my wife work from home and the car is used rarely because we live in a small town.   I keep the car in good condition, change stuff when I need to etc. This problem showed recently.

Thank you very much!

Possible problems with mass airflow sensor, fuel pump, ignition, computer ...

Can you scan it?

Thanks for the info. Yeah I thought the fuel didn't want to go to the engine is something... Will have to try and check the sensor as well.

You are welcome!
Perhaps some Scotty's videos will help too

Thanks again... Today I was watching/listening to the channel all day long... Learned a lot of stuff. /Salute👍😄

I will try to bring the car to a friend of mine he owns a repair shop. The videos are really informative.

Well I checked the car and did the diagnostic and stuff... everything's good except the fuel injector, 2 of them, he said are dying >_< and that's the problem for starting in the cold or if the car is not driven for a while. We changed and checked all the filters and oils and sensors and stuff. Everything seems in order.

Can I do something to help the car in order to start easily without changing the injectors because I can't do that now?

Thanks!
