Hi Scotty,
I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima with 150,000 miles. This morning when I started the car the engine was running very rough with a clicking sound that sounded like metal contacts. I immediately shut off the engine, and later tried to start it again. It was very difficult to start but it eventually started and still running very rough, and I'm quite certain one of the cylinder isn't firing. The engine oil looks OK (no sign of water) and quite a bit smoke coming out the exhaust. What do you think the problem might be? I'm afraid one of the cylinder is dead with a broken valve or a broken connecting rod. Thank you.

Do a compression test to get an idea of the basic health of each cylinder.
