I know the minimal about cars enough to know when I really need to take it in to get it fixed or if it's something that I can buy and my husband or I can fix it at home but my question is what is my battery gauge on my dashboard supposed to read that something that I've never known nobody's ever told me and I googled it but Google tells me several different things I just want to know if where my gauge is means my battery is bad or if it's something else thank you

13.5 to 14.5 volts provided the alternator is doing it's job.
Your owner's manual will answer your question. Just look it up. Or, just get one of these and plug it in -
