2003 Dodge Grand Caravan

Van is in limp mode. I changed out Tranny and Mian computers thinking it might be that. Still in limp mode.

It gives me two codes, one is that P700 code that indicates there is a problem that won't allow it to shift, the other is an ABS code.

I don't want to keep throwing money at this thing.. 

 

Question: Do you recommend that I pay a professional to check computer codes and such ?  or just give it up and sell the motor and van for parts?

Throwing parts at a problem without proper diagnosis rarely yields a good result.

If you want to keep the thing running you're going to need a good mechanic with a professional-grade scan tool to diagnose the problem(s). However it's probably not worth it for a 20-year-old Caravan that is likely to continue being an endless money pit. They are notorious for electrical and mechanical problems.
