I have a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan and the code for the transaxle popped on, I checked the transmission fluid and it was just a touch low so I added a bit and cleared the code. Now I have a grinding coming from the front driver’s side tire. Seeing that we now live in the same city, I wonder if you have any suggestions on where I could take this to get it fixed. This Grand Caravan had certainly had its share of problems. I like the benefits of a minivan that can haul things (the Sienna can’t fit a 4x8 sheet of drywall) but wish they had made it better. Any help is appreciated.
How did you check the transmission fluid level, the 2008 doesn't come with a dip-stick? I purchased one from amazon I believe, but I'm somewhat confused as to read it since it's not your typical measurement of add, low, high or safe written on it.
@jersey54 You'll be better off posting a new question. This person hasn't been to forum in a long time so it's unlikely you will get a response from them.
Not sure if I can tell you to take it to get it fixed but I do know that the wheel bearings are common to go bad on these. Usually if you search on Google for mechanics and read reviews most of them are honest and can be a telling thing about which ones to go to and which ones to avoid.
